"Where does my recycling go???"

What happens to my paper? Why do I need to separate bottles & cans? Does my waste really get recycled? Join the Green Office Challenge and Recycling Services for a tour of our paper recycling facility, and find out what actually happens after your recyclable material leaves the building. This informative tour will give you the chance to get up-close and personal with the recycling process, and bring a new level of understanding back to your property to help communicate the benefits of recycling directly to your tenants.
Part I of the event will include the tour of the recycling facility and Q&A time about our operations and practices. For Part II, we invite you back to our offices for light refreshments, cocktails, and networking, as well as updates from the Chicago Green Office Challenge.
Safety Notes: Please note that you will be touring a manufacturing facility. For this event, we will reduce activity on the floor to accommodate the group, so hardhats will not be required. However, the following safety measures are requirements for the day of the tour:
1. NO open toe shoes
2. NO shorts - pants required
3. ALL participants must stay close to the tour guide

TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS:
Recycling Services will provide trolley service pick-up from downtown - pick-up locations are to be determined, please RSVP with your name and property address to help us determine where pick-up stops will be located.
Driving: You are also welcome to drive on your own or carpool to our facility - we can provide a temporary parking permit once you are on-site.
Public Transportation: If you would prefer to take public transportation, our facility is only 1 block north of the Orange Line Kedzie stop.

The word courage is most commonly associated with battlefields and burning buildings. In the business world, courage may have more to do with daring to be unorthodox and risking failure than it does with putting oneself in harm's way.
In the paper recycling industry, Michael Finn, Jane Erkenswick and David Levinson are showing some courage by trying new ways of working with consuming mills while still achieving profitability.
The trio is guiding Chicago's Recycling Services Inc. through a volatile secondary fiber market with the intent of reducing the affects of that volatility for both their own company and their customers.
